Meebox Nail Subscription Box Review plus Spring Nail Art!

Hello there lovely readers!

Now I am sure we are all familiar with Beauty Subscription boxes non? I can't exactly recall myself WHEN these became a thing, but I do vividly remember the beauty world going completely gaga over the concept of them & I can understand why as it has become a great & more affordable way to try out numerous different brands & products all in one go!

Nowadays you really are spoilt for choice with many different ones available to choose from, catering for different preferences, makeup, skincare, healthcare etc. I remember subscribing myself to a few but for me personally I felt a bit overwhelmed with the variety of different products & often found it was a bit of pot luck really with receiving products that suited me & truthfully actually ended up passing on things to friends & relatives! So for me, the novelty wore off...until now that is. Enter Meebox! The UK's first nail polish subscription box....yup this one your girl is DOWN for.

Naturally when I first heard of this specifically catered for nails ONLY subscription my ears peeked with interest! Meebox works in exactly the same way as other subscriptions in that each month you receive a surprise package containing a wonderful variety of nail related treats, including polishes, nail art goodies & treatments with every month having a different fun theme, perfect for all nail enthusiasts! I finally bit the bullet & subscribed to my first box in February which was Look Book themed inspired by London Fashion Week.

Of course the goodies that you receive are left a mystery until opening which I think is super fun as I do love a surprise, who doesn't?! For this box in particular Meebox teamed with award winning nail artist Nails By Mets who has worked many Fashion Weeks herself & put together a lovely bundle of goodies to create some fab fashionista vibes on your nubbins!

The Look Book themed box contained 3 pretty polishes, a couple of sparkly fun glitters, some nail swatch sticks to try out the shades on as well as the most DELICIOUSLY scented Raspberry & Grape nail polish remover. I've used this constantly since I've received it & OMG its a delight to use! Normally I hate removing polish but this is total game changer y'all!

The wee pots of glitter are Meebox exclusives & go by the names Claudia & Naomi respectively. Naomi is a beautiful midnight blue shade whilst Claudia is a fun vibrant orange which has an interesting slightly holo green colour shift to it making it not so neon as it appears if that makes sense.

But of course the piece de resistance (for me anyway) is the polishes! And the Look Book themed box delivers some right beauties! The swatch sticks actually came in mighty useful to show you the polishes individually because of course...I had to throw together a nail art look using them all together ;) But more of that in a second...for now here are the three shades you receive.

The first is NCLA's Lets Go Party, a fabulously funky purple glitter, here I've applied 3 coats for full opacity. In the centre we have Pool Party by Annika which as you can see is the most dreamy pastel blue creme, applied beautifully in two coats. And lastly I think is my favourite Ball Gown by IZ Beauty of London which I used in my Faberge Egg Easter Nails. Who doesn't love a bit of rose gold chrome goodness?

All three polishes are absolutely gorgeous & I couldn't wait to create something fun on the nails using all three so, despite the weather demanding otherwise, I was adamant to feel some Spring vibes on my nails so through together this super easy floral bloom design.

What do you think? I also wanted to achieve a sort of vintage 70's floral print vibe from these, my subtle nod to the fashion world if you will!

I used two coats of Annika Pool Party for my base.

Then grabbing my trusty dotting tool & Ball Gown, I added 3 blooms made up of 5 dots to each nail, one large in the centre with smaller ones above & below. On my pinky I just stuck with the one bloom

Next using NCLA's Pool Party & the dotting tool again I simply finished off the blooms with a dot of purple glitter in the centre.

Finish with a nice coat of topcoat to seal & shine & that's it!

Can you see why dotticure blooms are my absolute fav to do? So easy & pretty!

Overall I think its clear that I am DIGGIN the Meebox Subscription Box! If not for all 12 months of the year,(because lord knows yours truly has a polish pile of gigantic proportions yet to play with) I will definitely subscribe for a few more boxes to try (or ten maybe...)  You have the option to sign up for a monthly subscription for £20 or you can also pay £54 for a 3 month prepay plan which you can of course cancel and renew at any time.

I also tried out a look using the glitters but I'm not too certain how I feel about it...but I'll be sharing that soon too, if for nothing else but to give you an idea on how to use them as loose glitters can be intimidating to use, for me anyway!

Thanks as always for reading, until next time!

Lotsa love to ya!
